Many people want to make donations to causes the make a difference, but for some of us, funds are tight. One free and easy thing to do is avoid buying from companies that support hate speech, more specifically, Rush Limbaugh. The vile radio talk show host calls women
'semen receptacles,' and femi-nazis, he calls blacks 'thugs,' and latinos 'spermatozoa'. He is known for spreading lies, while promoting/inciting racism,
lgbt hatred, bigotry, and misogyny. And for just about 25 years Limbaugh has gotten away with it. But for the last three years, the general public has become more proactive against his type of commentary. Concerned consumers are contacting and petitioning Rush Limbaugh sponsors, and asking them to pull their ads from his show. For those companies who opt to ignore consumers, they are boycotted by hundreds of thousands. What's worse is these companies are permanently associating their logos/names/bands, in the minds of many, with a hate monger. Given there are so many ways to spend advertising dollars, choosing a show that alienates millions of Americans seems to be a pretty foolish business move.
Here is a list of 10 very loyal Rush Limbaugh sponsors (and one honorable mention). They've been with him for years. To support the boycott, one only needs to avoid buying from these companies, and spread the sponsor information. Even if you haven't heard of these companies and/or don't do business with them, by circulating their names to friends, family, and on social media, you will have an impact. Together, the public is sending a strong message to businesses and the media industry, that we will not help support hate speech with our consumer dollars It's no surprise that many Rush Limbaugh sponsors are considered, by consumers, to be 'scams.'
Lifelock
Enthusiastically endorsed by former not-so-popular NY Mayor Giuliani, this so-called 'identity theft protection' company continues to get horrid reviews and accusations of being a 'rip-off' company. Some of the many complaints can be seen on the Consumer Affairs website. LifeLock blitzes free digital TV and radio with ads that play heavily on the fears of vulnerable consumers. Customers complain LifeLock does not protect them against identity theft. Some claim their banks and credit card companies do the same or better, for free. And many complain LifeLock makes it near impossible to cancel and continues to bill customers long after people notify them to cancel:
"Recently we bought a car, opened 3 credit cards and bought a house. Lifelock did not see any of these transactions. We cancelled in September and yet they kept billing us until January."

iHeart Radio
IHeart Radio has been on the sidelines supporting the Rush Limbaugh show as a 'sister' company owned by Clear Channel. This past year the CEO of Clear Channel, Bob Pittman, decided to rebrand the failing Clear Channel name to iHeart Media, (lipstick on a pig or something like that) so we can now attribute the airing of the Rush Limbaugh Show on approximately 600 stations nationwide - to iHeart.
As an alternate to the iHeart app, many protestors are opting to use iHeart's competitors which include Spotify, Pandora, Podcasts, iTunes and iTunes Radio.

1800flowers
1800Flowers has been buying ads from Rush Limbaugh, pretty much nonstop, for years. Consumer Affairs just posted their TOP 800 Complaints And Reviews About 1800Flowers on December 23, 2014.
"A family member of mine passed away and I ordered a funeral arrangement to be delivered to a funeral home. Though my credit card was charged the arrangement was never delivered. I found this out a week later. I immediately called 1-800flowers and inquired. They confirmed that the flowers had not been delivered. The reason they gave was that there was no florist in the area that they had an association with." -Myra, SC
Whenever possible, folks are buying from locally owned, independent florists/nurseries/garden centers. For orders out of town, they google the city for local companies and order direct, bypassing national chains like 1800Flowers.

Stamps.com
Also listed on the Consumer Affairs site, Stamps.com has numerous complaints. Here's the first one I read:
"The same as everyone else, I'm finding it nearly impossible to keep charges away from my credit card account even past cancellation. Once they have your credit card info, it is off to the races to see how many times they can charge your account. When confronted, they act stupid as to why you're being charged and refuse to erase your personal info from their system. I would advise against using Stamps.com as there are other services that offer the same shipping solutions for FREE."
Gotta love the internet when it slaps back that free speech for which Limbaugh and his Dittoheads use to justify hate radio.

Visiting Angels
The highly criticized 'Elderly Care' company, Visiting Angels, joined the Rush Limbaugh Show last year and has opted to stay, blatantly ignoring consumer pleas to leave. Looking at recent reviews, it seems Visiting Angels is getting desperate, so scraping the bottom of the advertising pool and going with The Rush Limbaugh's show seem on course. The company has an amazing number of former employee complaints as well customer complaints. This one below is especially disturbing:
"Applied for job. Got hired without any interview or questioning my skill level (brand new out of school). They then set me up with a very hands on client. I spoke up that I was not comfortable due to my experience level. They did not care, and still wanted me to show up. They do not care who they hire for your family."
And yet, folks are unknowingly entrusting Visiting Angels to care for their disabled loved ones.

ProFlowers
Another consumer complaint and review site lists 821 complaints/reviews about ProFlowrers. Here's just one of those complaints:
"Price started at $29.99 Ended up being $72.00. My wife received it at work in a FedEx box that she had to assemble herself. How romantic, NOT!! Flowers were already wilted and sagging in the vase. PATHETIC!"
Many of us have had similar experiences and will never use this company again. (Another reason to by from small, local shops.)

Hillsdale College
Hillsdale College loves Rush Limbaugh and Rush Limbaugh loves Hillsdale - so much so that he personal endorses the Right-Wing college. In 2013, the college made headlines when the president referred to black students as 'the dark ones.' I imagine it was then the stars aligned and a match between Hillsdale and Limbaugh was made, in hell.

Lear Capital
In reading complaints about gold investment company, Lear Capitol,, one consumer says,
"From beginning to the end, it was the biggest nightmare of my life."
Okay, then. Between that comment and others that followed, this company is easy to boycott.

PajamaGram is a seasonal advertiser of the Rush Limbaugh Show. They get in during Christmas and Valentine's Day, and quickly jump out after - figuring no one would notice. Well, consumers and activists do notice, and it shows a strong lack of integrity.

IDrive
The biggest complaints found for IDrive is the 'painfully slow' back-up process. That said, StopRush has reported IDrive ads on the Limbaugh show over 500 times in the last two years, and the company continues to advertise almost daily. IDrive is one of Rush Limbaugh's most loyal sponsors and for that reason alone, protestors will continue to boycott this company.

Honorable Mention: Angie's List
The highly criticized Angie's List has more than their share of bad reviews. The company referral business pulled their ads, but left a bad taste in the mouths of many consumers. The Right-Wing company, which many believe is run a woman, does not fair well with women at all. In fact, Angie's List is predominantly run by men, and was one of the first Rush Limbaugh sponsors to return to his show, and stay there, after Limbaugh's 3-day Sandra Fluke verbal attack (video), calling her a 'slut' and 'prostitute' while she was advocating for medicinal birth control in front of Congress. When Limbaugh attacked Fluke, she was an unknown student. That's how he rolls. He's a bully. Again, I need to stress Angie's List finally pulled their ads (moving some to Sean Hannity), but they are worthy of a mention. The weakening company has also had a large share of customer complaints:
"This company is a joke. They offer no help in resolving disputes with contractors you hire through them, and they remove negative reviews!"
Angie's List also receives bad press from financials like Forbes.com.
For those who'd like to do more than boycott, you can
sign this petition. Over 100,000 concerned consumers have signed their names. What makes this petition unique and effective is that it is sent to the 40 sponsors listed within - with every
new 500 signatures. When sponsors see that 100k people are associating their company name with Rush Limbaugh - and when they hear from those consumers, it shakes many of them up, and some have pulled their ads in response. Once a company discontinues their ads on Limbaugh's show, they are eventually removed from the petition (and the StopRush Database). Thousands of companies have left Rush Limbaugh's show due to the public's outrage.
Rush Limbaugh is being hit by the Left and Right, and he is losing radio stations, market ratings and fans as wells sponsors. Much of his downfall has to do with the national protest. And much has to do with his desperate and pathetic shock tactics that no longer work with his aging out white, male, Conservative fans who call themselves 'Dittoheads.' The protestors want his hate speech off public radio. Here are some easy ways to support the protest during its final stretch.
