I will be voting for Bernie. I will not vote for Hillary or any corporately backed candidate at any level. I have never voted for a Republican in my life, so if the choice is between a corporate Democrat and a corporate or Tea Party Republican, I will either write in a candidate or skip that race on my ballot.
I will no longer allow the Democratic Party to terrify me into voting for their corporate "main-stream-has-a-chance-to-win" candidate for President. I will no longer vote for the least objectionable candidate who will throw some social policy bones to the base to be there for Wall Street.
My country has slowly gone mad and mainstream Democrats have either contributed to that descent into madness, or refused to tell the truth and fight back out of fear of offending the big money that puts them in office and keeps them there.
As the right wing candidates use fear to get their base in line by election day, so do the Democrats. "Imagine a world in which Republicans have all the power!" I do. But that day is nearly upon us. I don't see Democrats willing to reverse the tide, only offering token resistance as they drop back from money barricade to money barricade. We at the bottom can either make them fight back, or support candidates who will.
I will not listen to one more bullshit, triangulating, bet-hedging speech when I can listen to a candidate like Bernie Sanders speak with honesty, integrity, and in a straight-forward manner that respects the intelligence of his audience. I'll send him whatever I can afford every month until he's out of the race or wins.
So I'll be voting for Bernie. If he loses the primary, that does not mean Hillary gets my vote. I will not vote for her in the general election. Nor would she get my vote if she asked him to be her running mate.
Let darkness come. We will push it back from the streets if we must. We cannot count on corporate Dems to do more than slow its coming a little. Night will fall unless we fight, and refuse to support any candidate who will not.
