Gosh, it's just a slogan!
Jeb! Bush answering a reporter's question on #BlackLivesMatter and whether Democratic candidate Martin O'Malley should've apologized to #BlackLivesMatter protesters and supporters:
Reporter: Governor O'Malley apologized the other day for saying the following words, he said—"Black lives matter, white lives matter, all lives matter"—he was booed at the Netroots Nation. Should he have apologized for that?
Jeb Bush (shaking his head and chuckling): Noooo. For crying out loud, no. I mean, we're so uptight and politically correct that we apologize for saying lives matter? Life is precious, it's a gift from God. I start, I mean I practically think it's uh, it's one of the most important values we have. I mean, in the political context, it's a slogan, I guess. Should he apologize? No. If he believes that white lives matter, which I hope he does, he shouldn't apologize to a group that seems to disagree with it. Gosh, I mean...
Reporter: What do you think with people going on there? With people doing that?
Jeb Bush: I don't know, I'm not a, uh, I wasn't invited to the Netroots conference.
