1) "The only thing that Sarah Palin hates more than Obama is punctuation!" - Trevor Noah
"She's like a bag of Scrabble tiles that grew a body, and came to life! It's so random!" - Trevor Noah
"Presidents might have term limits, but Sarah Palin is forever." - Trevor Noah
2) There is still a law on the books in New York that a citizen can't walk around on Sunday with an ice cream cone in their pocket.
3) New scientific data released just confirmed that 2015 was the warmest year on record. It broke the previous high record set in 2014. Notice a trend, here?
4) I guess the pressure got to be too great for rogue DNC debate scheduler, Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Surprise! Surprise! It's not a debate, but ALMOST!! There will be a hastily scheduled Democratic Town Hall on CNN Monday night at 5 pm EST with all three candidates.
5) Animal Rights activists are protesting the University of Washington's plans to build the largest underground animal research facility in the U.S.
If the facility is built, thousands of primates and mammals, including guinea pigs, cats and dogs, will be tortured and eventually killed.
In New York, 100s of protesters marched 3 miles to the Long Island home of the CEO of the company that has been contracted to build the lab, hoping to pressure him into canceling the contract.
6) Jeb Bush just sent out a mailing to all NH GOP residents. The mailer contained a video about Jeb. But who has a video player these days? Nobody! Not a problem for Jeb!! The video came in its very own Video Player! No, seriously! Turn it on, and it automatically starts playing the Jeb video.
And, if that wasn't impressive enough, Jeb decided that these voters needed those videos ASAP! Not a problem for Jeb! He Overnighted them! Through FedEx, no less! The costliest Delivery Service!
I guess Jeb's massive war chest was burning a hole in his pocket. One might wonder if Jeb is trying his best to use up as much of his campaign donations as he can, before he finally suspends his campaign, so as not to have an embarrassing amount of money "left-over", when he finally accepts the inevitable.
7) Researchers may have discovered a ninth planet, far out past Neptune, in the solar system after all, but it is not Pluto. They haven't actually seen it yet, but they have seen its gravitational effect on six small objects whose orbits all move outwards in the same area, and tilt at nearly the same angle. The odds of that happening by chance are about one in 14,000.
One trip around the sun for this new planet would take about 10-20,000 years.
8) Nine out of 10 Americans want GMO labeling. It is only our corporately owned Congress that is against it.
9) Democrats forced a vote in Congress on Donald Trump's anti-Muslim ban. Luckily, it failed. (via Thom Hartmann)
10) World renowned author and long-time Oregon resident, Ursula LeGuin wrote a Letter to the Editor of The Oregonian saying,
"Ammon Bundy and his bullyboys aren’t trying to free federal lands, but to hold them hostage. I can’t go to the Malheur refuge now, though as a citizen of the United States, I own it and have the freedom of it. That’s what public land is: land that belongs to the public — me, you, every law-abiding American. The people it doesn’t belong to and who don’t belong there are those who grabbed it by force of arms, flaunting their contempt for the local citizens.
Those citizens of Harney County have carefully hammered out agreements to manage the refuge in the best interest of landowners, scientists, visitors, tourists, livestock and wildlife. They’re suffering more every day, economically and otherwise, from this invasion by outsiders."
11) "Letting ranchers graze their cattle on Government land at a 90% discount IS Democratic Socialism!" - Thom Hartmann
12) Many states forbid ex-felons from ever voting again. That might be considered "Taxation without Representation”. In some states, you get your right to vote back, after you served your time. While, Vermont felons can even vote from jail. Why is this decision left up to the states, I wonder.

*NOTE* - Please understand that I do not claim to be a “journalist”. I am only passing on bits of information, which others have researched, that drift through my awareness, on any given day. I watch, read and listen to any number of different news and entertainment sources, and it’s more than anyone could possibly intake and retain in a day, so I created this little daily “cheat sheet” for myself, so that I could remember all these oddball facts. Then I decided to share these tidbits, and thus was born the Daily TILT. I do this for fun. I hope you enjoy it.
Message me to SUBSCRIBE to the Daily TILT ("THINGS I LEARNED TODAY")
**NOTE: I purposely do not include links or photos in the TILT. The idea is to not have one story be highlighted above all the others. And sometimes links can be stressful. I, myself, sometimes get conflicted when presented with too many choices, so I thought I'd save you the trouble of having to make any of those types of decisions for a few minutes, while you read the Photo and Link-Free TILT!
I encourage you to further research any story that interests you, though. They are easy to Google.
