How can we foul Trump’s post-election plans? By joining him!
Joshua Green at Bloomberg Businessweek wrote an article about how Trump has taken the RNC data-mining operation and with the help of Cambridge Analytica and Breitbart News, created an enormous and lucrative small-dollar donor email and advertising list called Project Alamo (www.bloomberg.com/...). You can find out more on Slate’s Trumpcast podcast here: www.slate.com/… (the Project Alamo episode as of this writing the episode is not yet up on the site)). The list will be used post-election to solicit donations, hock Trump products, and for alt-right marketing. It will also be rented to Republican candidates to use for their mailing lists.
I’m suggesting that if we can get thousands of Daily Kos folks on to the list, that will make the list more costly (renters pay anywhere from 3-8 dollars per email address, according to the piece on Bloomberg), and less effective (by including a large number of people who don’t buy into the scams or support the candidates). We may get a deluge of email, but it’s easy to shunt them into the spam folder and/or unsubscribe. As someone who signed up to be a “poll watcher” with the Trump campaign long ago, I can say I only get 5-10 emails a week. Go to Trump’s campaign and sign up now! www.donaldjtrump.com
