Just now, about 11:45 EST Thomas Frank, on the Diane Rehm Show, on NPR, commented of Democrats in this cycle they “cheated in order to lose.”
Frank, author of “Listen Liberal” and “What’s the Matter with Kansas” hit the nail right on the head. I think Hillary would have won even without her friends at the DNC. Democrats, however, paid a double price as they both reaped the anger caused by superdelegates, poorly organized caucuses and other hassles of a closely contested primary season and then had to endure the drip-drip-drip...of Wiki-Leaks during the general election campaign.
Democrats need to act fast to reform a process in which even the winners are losers. The DNC needs to be truly impartial, and we need to eliminate superdelegates, caucuses and closed primaries.
