I don't know about you, but doesn't it seem sort of Generation Xish to have President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush to be campaigning against each other so soon.
Mind you, W. is hitting the stage, filled with well polished, self-deprecating zingers and one-liners. Billy Boy is standing up for his little sister...doesn't it seem? When is the last time you saw the "Hilly and Billy" kiss in public? They may as well just shake hands at events. We all get it...it's just a business merger. She is definitely one First Lady that embraces many of Eleanor's propensities.
And let's not get started on Jebby. Okay, I'll start. Jeb Bush is the quintessential baby brother, awkward, physically and socially. He really doesn't want to be on that stage getting picked on by the schoolyard bullies. But Mama is waving her cane in the audience, prompting him to stand up straight and stand up for himself. I can just picture her straightening his tie and lapels, maybe even a lick of the thumb for a quick hairdo. All the while, he protests, "But Mama, I don't wanna go out ther' and listen to the meany "Dump Truck", dumb ol' Trump...".
And now Georgey Boy is hitting the trails, with guns-a-blazin'. Billy Boy is right in the center of mainstream media. I'm so confused. When I saw Bush vs. Clinton in the polls, I didn't know they were talking about that Bush or that Clinton.
