It was a nice day so we decided to go for a walk. Usually we go along a trail in the woods, but a friend said she was going to walk downtown with some other friends, so we decided to join them in our community of Bellingham WA.
It turned out that a few others had the same idea. Some people, realizing it was going to be the best possible day for a walk, had planned ahead and arranged for a nice route for us along the streets of our fair town. They are far better planners than I am.
All in all, at least 10,000 people came out to celebrate equal rights for everyone, diversity, and our community. Some estimates are as high as 20,000, out of a town of 70,000 and a county of 200,000.
Hey, we outdrew those guys who played Thursday on the mall in DC! Not that the numbers matter or anything . . .
Videographer Eddie Hayes captured this fantastic footage:

Can you find us?
When we were finishing the march route, others had not yet started so we shared the street . When we were done, we watched people start, and more people start, and more people start . . .
A small rainbow (circumzenithal arc, if you like) cheered us on our way,
Yay everyone! So proud of our community (and so many others from all the posts today).
The hard work starts tomorrow.
