Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Link to your recruitment diary is OK though.
Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. We're getting close to the membership cap, so we'll have to put you on a waiting list if you want to join. To get on the list, read this diary and visit the Guild web site. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome.
More below the fold:
Mumble pushed out a change that they said would happen “soon” last November. Basically, Mumble doesn’t take a servername as an alias anymore and requires the IP address of the server.
See the helpful and timely thread on the guild site to get the IP address to update your Mumble clients and thank Taymatt and Nazugrit for figuring it out.
And yes, we also have a Discord server.
Here’s the Team Pm report from Papagenia. Grats on getting the Desolate Host down!
Team Pm raid report:
Team PM is still working our way through Tomb of Sargeras heroic, and despite missing a few folks here and there, we're making good progress. This week, we were missing Mageartin, but were so pleased to have Hykari back with us! Monday night, we worked on Desolate Host, our next required target in heroic progression, and while it was an evening of wipes, it was a good night of work. We decided to go with 4 healers on this one, so Orqwa switched to Sarahoshi to do some great healing - at one point, when Wealtheow's computer overheated on her and she dc'd, Hykari switched to heals to keep us going (pallies are so versatile!). Desolate Host is an extremely complex fight, lots of moving pieces, and while it's always sad when we don't get a boss down in a night, I think we all enjoyed the process of figuring out the dance and putting our heads together to learn the best approach.
And that hard work paid off on Tuesday night, as we waltzed in and one-shot DH! As the first to die, quite early in the fight, I had a ring side seat for watching the beautiful work of the rest of the team - like clockwork, folks! It was so satisfying, and got us to 6/9 heroic, with only Maiden of Vigilance, Fallen Avatar and Kil'jaeden left to get done on heroic! We took a few pulls on Maiden, but didn't get too far - we have the DPS, we're pretty sure, we just need to get the steps down better, so we'll look at videos and get back to her next Monday. Since people had seals burning holes in their pockets, we exited the instance, Papa took lead back, Sarahoshi (who now has our lockout thru DH) switched back to Orqwa and we did a quick sweep of Goroth, Demonic Inquisition and Harjetan heroic to get a bit more gear.
We're feeling quite good about our progress, although I doubt we'll finish off KJ heroic before the next raid tier drops - Team Kaels/Zephyrs has been working on KJ heroic for several nights, though, and they're really close. I'll be very pleased if we get thru Avatar but we'll see. We're having fun and enjoy the ride!
That's all I have for this week. For the Horde!
