Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Bob Casey, Jr. (D. PA) in support of Doug Jones’ (D. AL) U.S. Senate campaign:
I’ve had the pleasure of serving alongside some wonderful public servants on both sides of the aisle during my time in the Senate. It takes teamwork to pass bills that help working families, and in its special election in December, I’m hoping Alabama adds Doug Jones to the team.
Let’s keep Democrats’ winning streak going by helping Doug Jones flip a Senate seat next month. Donate $25, or whatever you can, today.
Doug is the son and grandson of a steelworker and a coal miner, respectively. As a U.S. attorney, he successfully prosecuted former KKK members for the infamous 1963 church bombing that killed four children. He is a civil rights champion, and I would be honored to serve alongside him.
Roy Moore, on the other hand, has proved time and again that he is unfit for office. He's an extremist who has been removed from the bench for refusing to uphold the Constitution and for ethics violations, and it is clear he has no business being a United States Senator.
The polls are neck-and-neck right now, and Doug Jones needs our help to keep the momentum going. Join me and chip in $25 or whatever you can, right now, to make sure that Doug Jones is the next senator from Alabama.
Thanks,
Bob
