Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Link to your recruitment diary is OK though.
Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. We're getting close to the membership cap, so we'll have to put you on a waiting list if you want to join. To get on the list, read this diary and visit the Guild web site. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome.
More below the fold:
Okay, I got the title off the grocery tote I got at Trader Joe’s so blame them for the Spanish. The Teen Loner likes the idea of remembering the dead with joy and celebration, so we’re walking the fine line of cultural appropriation today.
Still, we have a raid report from Papagenia to pass along to you, so here goes:
Happy Day of the Dead!
Team Pm Report:
First, congrats to Team Kaels/Zephyrs on getting heroic Kil'jaeden down!!! Woot, Ahead of the Curve you are!
And in other news, Team Pm continues to make progress! Monday night, we were without our stalwart tank Thanael, but luckly Hykari was with us and stepped up to tank in Than's place, and did a great job. We spent the evening working on Maiden of Vigilance, and even though we ended up wiping 15 times, it still felt productive. Maiden is a relatively unforgiving mechanics dance, with a bit of RNG thrown in, so that if everyone, or at least most of us, don't execute perfectly, we wipe. We did make progress, and got her to 1% on one pull, so we knew we were going to get her soon.
Tuesday night, Than felt well enough to join us, so we went back into Maiden at close to full strength, although we were missing Vanilla. It was not exactly easy, we wiped 4 times, but 5th time was the charm and down she went! Very satisfying! And we got her soon enough to have time for some real work on Fallen Avatar, the penultimate boss in Tomb of Sargeras. This is another fight where we just have to get the execution down, as we have enough DPS for a kill, and we got some solid work in, getting to the "crash thru the floor to the molten lava" phase a couple of times. We will come back to Avatar on Monday, and hopefully get him down so we can start work on KJ.
We don't know when the next raid tier will drop at this point - might be as soon Nov 14, or maybe as late as Nov 28 - but it seems unlikely we'll have time to get KJ down before that for the AOTC achieve, which is too bad, but not that big a deal for us, I think. We'll keep pushing, and having fun as we always do!
That's all I have for this week. For the Horde!
