The other day, I detailed how Jared met with at least one Russian spy and then lied about it. But his benefactor, Cory Booker, says we need to hear from Jared before acting on the mountain of publicly available evidence that he is a security risk.
I realize Cory thinks he has a shot at being president. But that fantasy is as dead as Jimmy Hoffa. Here’s why. This isn’t the first time Cory has stuck his thumb in the eye of Democrats. I’ll lay odds it won’t be the last.
Strike One:
Remember when Booker lambasted Obama for calling out the predatory practices of private equity bankers? This was a guy who took a page from Joe LIEberman’s playbook and stabbed the party’s nominee in the back when heartily defended Bain Capital’s practices in the middle of an election. As NJ.Com noted
Cory Booker may have riled liberal factions with his support of Bain Capital on "Meet The Press" last weekend, but his defense of Wall Street is more than just high-minded discourse.
The Newark mayor has taken at least $491,000 in political contributions from the financial services industry in the last nine months — more than a third of his total fund-raising this election cycle, [emphasis added] according to campaign filings with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission and the Federal Election Commission.
That didn’t stop him from becoming Senator. But being a senator didn’t stop him from doing the bidding of his paymasters.
Strike Two:
When he voted against the Klobuchar Amendment, which would have allowed Americans to get cheaper prescription drugs from Canada, he defended his vote by saying he was worried about the “quality” of drugs that might find there way in to the market. I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact he is one of the top recipients of pharmaceutical manufacturing money in the Senate. The guy just got there and already he is in the same league as Mitch McConnell and Orrin Hatch.
I’m sure he has a polished bit about all the jobs big Pharma delivers in NJ, etc., etc. Fine. You want to be charitable? Chalk it up to “necessary evil” or something.
But how the hell do you explain this?
Strike Three:
Cory thinks it’s too early to revoke or even suspend Jared’s security clearance? Let’s talk about what we know. As I said before, this is all from public sources. The Venn Diagram above shows there ain’t a whole hell of a lot of dots to connect here. All the details are available to anyone with Google or a subscription to the New York Times. What exactly do we know? This:
Jared set up a clandestine meeting with a Russian spy who operates a Russian bank under US sanctions. The Russian ambassador arranged this after checking with Moscow. Then Jared lied about it. (Yep, that link is to RedState. Even they get it.)
So why is Cory so eager to slow walk this? Is it his penchant for “due process” or distaste for “modern day lynch mobs” that he refuses to act? Perhaps. Or maybe it has to do with the fact that Jared is a big contributor to his Senate campaign and Ivanka hosted a fund raiser for the guy who went to their wedding.
According to RawStory
Kushner and other donors affiliated with Kushner Cos. delivered more than $41,000 to Booker's Senate campaign in 2013, according to data compiled by PoliticalMoneyLine.com. Politico reported that Ivanka Trump hosted a fundraiser for Booker during that election.
In 2009, Jared Kushner also gave $20,000 to Booker's Newark mayoral ticket "Booker Team for Newark," New Jersey campaign finance records show. That year, Booker attended the wedding of Kushner and Ivanka Trump.
Once is happenstance. Twice is a coincidence. Three times is a pattern.
Today Booker became a whore, selling his integrity to the highest bidder.

About the Venn Diagram:
This is a repeat of one shown here (detailing Jared’s clandestine adventures). It is basically a modification of the previous ones shown here (where Pence is incorporated) and here (where it was first introduced). As I said before, I adopted this approach because the business model never changes. The only new development is who gets put in which bin and/or which connections you emphasize.
