Hillary, Bill, Nancy, and ALL of the political operatives associated with national Democratic leadership — PLEASE GO AWAY. PLEASE!!!
Regime change. Party upheaval. Whatever the heck it is, the operatives and the people they campaigned for in 2016/17 should be blacklisted from politics. If I have to see another one of team Clinton’s loser staffers interviewed in primetime and displaying a shocking lack of touch with reality, I’m gonna lose it.
The Democratic party is a complete mess and have been since 2008. Never fully coalescing around the President or his agenda, always doing this STUPID when they go low we go high BS, and being otherwise complete pansies as the Republicans went hard with rhetoric and policy. Now as the opposition, what do Democrats in Congress offer? “Golly. Lots of smoke. Nothing impeachable or criminal, but gee whiz, it doesn’t look good.” Says the same TOOLS that refused to prosecute any of the cowards that caused the financial crisis. What do you think ‘fly over country’ would have to say about Democrats that went after the richy richers and sent Wall Street to jail. Maybe that’s the populism they lack today?
Nah. This cadre of career professional Democrats isn’t interested in lowering prescription drugs, pursuing a VASTLY supported public option, but instead of making sure we don’t get in too much conflict with the other side.
SCREW IT. Since 2009 and the rise of Glenn Beck and the Tea Party, I have pleaded that Democrats stand up for something. They haven’t yet. Will they now that every single ill advised tactic has imploded in their face and a large portion of what President Obama accomplished in his 8 years will be wiped off the history books.
This site and others regurgitate the anti-Trump message and hope that it wins. It seemingly adopts this ignorant Dem party philosophy of ‘they go low, we go high’. No. When they go low, we go lower. When THEY decide to get in the mud, we GET IN with them but with vastly superior communication weapons. The ONLY way anyone stops jumping into the mud is if they realize there are serious negative consequences (i.e. scorched earth, burn the place down) to doing so.
Now, there is one important fact rarely covered publicly. Republicans adopt a philosophy of ‘government should be small enough you can drown it in a tub.’ OK. If your trying to solve problems via government solutions, stereotyping Republicans would lead anyone to believe they don’t negotiate in good faith. They want government to look incompetent, because they hate it.
So, Democrats. Do you go high when they go low? Or perhaps you get out your knives and you go for the jugular, so to speak, and you scorch the earth to avoid future scenarios. Perhaps a response from my Dem colleague would be that society expects and needs a party that is actually informed and looking out for the underprivileged. Problem, empathy only gets you so far and the backlash if you help someone in need is that you are encouraging the behavior.
Not surprisingly, I’m for as hard a line tactic as possible. Remove or resign Nancy Pelosi, immediately. Same goes for Steny Hoyer. Issue a moratorium on any campaign staffer of Clinton from appearing on public television. Encourage Dems with a spine to display said spine. NO HOLDS BARRED. Go after the family of opponents. Use terrorist images. In other words, FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE regardless of how it makes your pretty flat tummy feel. One side can’t have all the ammunition. Democrats MUST get in the mud, MUST fight, MUST get angry and mean and go places a civilized society wouldn’t go. And they have to NOW.
