Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Bill Nelson’s (D. FL) re-election campaign:
President Trump's so-called voter fraud commission requested that states turn over the names, addresses, birth dates, voting history and even partial Social Security numbers of every voter in the country.
In response, people all across the country submitted official comments to the White House to voice their concerns that this is a blatant invasion of privacy – and a disguised attempt to suppress the vote of some people.
And what did the White House do with all those comments? They released them, publicly! Without redacting any personal information including people's names, email addresses, home addresses or places of work.
If we can't trust the Trump administration to handle public comments, we certainly can't trust them to handle your sensitive voter information.
I'm going to continue to fight this irresponsible attack on voters, but I need your help. Click here to add your name to our petition and tell the Trump administration: Stop attacking our right to vote!
Thanks,
Bill
