You'd think that long before the multiple cocktail parties and victory laps organized by his supporters, just one of longtime-rumored Supreme Court shortlister Brett Kavanaugh's ideological allies would have thought to buy up the website domain BrettKavanaugh.com in order to, ya know, keep it from falling into the hands of his many, many, many critics.
But they didn't, so now visitors to BrettKavanaugh.com are treated to a large-typed message: We Believe Survivors.
This past month, thousands of survivors came forward to tell their stories. We applaud your bravery. We believe you. And if you are seeking additional resources, these groups can offer assistance:
The page links to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, End Rape On Campus, and the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network. The website is the work of Fix The Court.
Opposition to Kavanaugh's elevation to the court will not be going away.
“Watching last night’s White House event and listening to the president again cast doubt on the veracity of Dr. Ford’s claims, while not hearing a word of contrition from the newest justice, was difficult for many Americans who have experienced sexual misconduct firsthand,” [Fix The Court director Gabe Roth] added. “Fix the Court stands with you. We believe you and we support you.”
