How is this Trump Toadie still “in charge” of the House Intel Investigation into the Trump Team’s misdeeds — when Devin Nunes himself was a MEMBER of that very same Trump Team???

Nunes Named to Trump Transition Team
Congressman Devin Nunes (CA-22) released the following statement today after joining the executive committee of Donald Trump’s transition team:
“Today I was honored to have been named to the executive committee of President-elect Donald Trump's transition team. In this role, I will advise President-elect Trump on the appointments of his Cabinet members and on appointments to other top positions in the new administration. I look forward to helping to assemble an energetic and forward-looking team that will capably lead our country toward more economic growth, greater opportunity, and a safer homeland for all Americans.”

Nunes went on to wreak havoc given his weighty role on the Trump Transition Team. Paving the way for Pompeo for one; and being a constant defender and cohort of Michael Flynn, for two:

It was in this capacity as a committee member that Nunes first met and came to develop an alliance with Lt. Gen Michael Flynn — appointed director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in July 2012. Nunes himself said after the 2016 election he had:
“‘Known Flynn for a long time and had been briefed by him dozens of time,’ describing him further as ‘one of the best and most knowledgeable generals’ he had seen during his career in Congress.”

Nunes freely admitted that as a Transition Team member, he was responsible for fielding calls from foreign leaders and ambassadors who were trying to reach Flynn. He strenuously defended Trump in the media when it was leaked that the President-elect was skipping intelligence briefings. And, he now-infamously attended a pre-inauguration breakfast with Turkish officials as a guest of Flynn’s. The public later learned the General was being paid to represent the interests of these government officials.
As early as December 2016, Devin Nunes was insisting there was no need to pursue an Investigation into the Russian election interference:

Rep. Devin Nunes said Monday that further investigations would be redundant. Nunes is a member of President-elect Donald Trump's transition team.
"The House Intelligence Committee is conducting vigorous oversight of the investigations into election-related cyber attacks," he said in a statement. "At this time I do not see any benefit in opening further investigations, which would duplicate current committee oversight efforts and intelligence community inquiries."
Even prior to that in July 2016, Devin Nunes was dismissing the Russian Hacking and disbursal of the stolen DNC emails, as “Nothing New” …

By July, as the extent of Russian hacking was becoming better known, Nunes conceded there was “a high confidence” Russia hacked into the DNC computers. Still, his stance on the threat posed by Russia had noticeably softened. He insisted many other foreign countries were doing the same thing and that the release of material during a U.S. election was “nothing new”. Nunes further denied there was evidence that Russian hackers gave the information to WikiLeaks, even as he acknowledged they had operated as a conduit for Russia in the past.
Perhaps most damning of all for Nunes with regards to his unofficial “Trump Insider” status, are these remarkable series of events, right after the firing of Michael Flynn, from his position of Trump National Security Advisor … all during the Transition and slightly beyond ...
Senate Republicans demand answers on Flynn

“Washington, D.C., can be a rough town for honorable people, and Flynn — who has always been a soldier, not a politician — deserves America’s gratitude and respect for dedicating so much of his life to strengthening our national security,” Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), chief of the House intelligence panel, said in a statement.

But Nunes told CNN that he wants to investigate how transcripts of Flynn’s calls with Kislyak got leaked — not the impact of the calls themselves. A Republican House aide later clarified comments made earlier by Nunes citing “executive privilege” as a reason the committee couldn’t probe Flynn’s conversations with Trump. The aide said Nunes’ comments were actually meant to refer to accessing a transcript of Flynn’s conversations with Kislyak. The aide noted “privacy concerns” involved in accessing transcripts of a wiretapped call of a U.S. citizen.
Even in these early day Devin Nunes was a constant deflector and distractor, attempting to slow and even halt any Russian investigation, into the Trump Team’s misdeeds …
Question 1) What does Devin Nunes know about Russia Interference, that the rest of us don’t, which makes him so eager to dismiss and obstruct any such Investigation?
Question 2) How in the world does Devin Nunes keep his Jobs as the Chair of the House Intel Committee, when his every action screams out — this Trump Team Member has deep and abiding “Conflicts of Interest” ???
Devin Nunes MUST be Recused — if not investigated himself for his role(s) in the ongoing obstruction and cover-ups.
