Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had a brief meeting with the toddler at the White House. According to all reports, Trump demanded to know if Pelosi was going to give him his wall money, she said no, and he walked out.
"The president just got up and walked out ... he couldn't get his way, and he just walked out," Schumer said. Trump himself confirmed that in a tweet, of course. "Just left a meeting with Chuck and Nancy, a total waste of time. I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye, nothing else works!"
He simply walked out, with no acknowledgement of what's going on with this shutdown. Pelosi called his attitude "insensitive" to the suffering he's created for federal workers. "He thinks maybe they can just ask their father for more money, but they can't."
"We saw a temper tantrum," Schumer added. Our nation is in the hands of a 3-year-old.

Vice President Pence and House Republican leadership spoke after Pelosi and Schumer, and confirmed all of this, with Pence saying “There will be no deal without a wall.” Not at all surprisingly Mitch McConnell was once again AWOL for this press availability. Maybe they forgot to tell him about this press conference. Again.
