Tallahassee, Fl. -- HD7 candidate Ryan Terrell announces former Congresswoman Gwen Graham’s endorsement for his 2020 bid
Ryan Terrell, a longtime Leon County resident and a Democratic candidate for District 7 in Florida’s House of Representatives, has been endorsed by former Congresswoman Gwen Graham. Congresswoman Graham previously represented much of the Florida panhandle and Big Bend regions from 2015 to 2017, and recently served a stint as Co-Chair of Rebuild 850, an organization dedicated to helping communities devastated by Hurricane Michael with recovery and reconstruction efforts.
Ryan Terrell, a Leon County-based Democratic communications consultant and longtime Democratic Party leader at the local, state, and national level, was previously the Democratic nominee for a June special election that was ultimately won by now-Rep. Jason Shoaf (R- Port St Joe).
Terrell released the following statement regarding the endorsement:
“Like many of our friends and neighbors in the Florida Panhandle, I’ve lived through Hurricane Michael. In light of such destruction*, I could not remain silent and watch our state and federal governments throw children of refugees in cages, while leaving our children in the panhandle stuck in tents, FEMA trailers, or condemned homes. I couldn’t stand by while my opponent squandered precious time to rebuild our region before national attention shifts elsewhere. There has been no one more committed to helping our panhandle rebuild and reconstruct than our former Congresswoman. And just as Congresswoman Graham did in Congress, I’m running to get things done for our North Florida community. I’m honored to have her support as we seek to reconstruct our 850!”
Florida’s House of Representatives District 7 consists of Calhoun, Franklin, Gulf, Jefferson, Lafayette, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla County, as well as the southwestern part of Leon County.
