We are now two games into the Democratic Primary “World Cup”, and of course, we have had two blowouts. Go figure. Yesterday, Elizabeth Warren defeated Kirsten Gillibrand yesterday by a final tally of 8-0.
Today is Group C:
Group C
Sherrod Brown
Jeff Merkley
Eric Holder
Eric Swalwell
Game 3 is:
Sherrod Brown vs. Eric Swalwell |
Now, since I screwed up, the voting for this will be extended until late Thursday night.
Remember, you can vote for one of the candidates, Either (if you like them both), or Neither.
Now, as was pointed out Tuesday by reklemrov, I managed to put two Texas “candidates” (one undeclared) into the same group. This would not have happened with FIFA seeding, but I’m not saavy enough to know all the rules about seeding. :) So, I changed Groups D and F. I moved Julián Castro to Group F, and moved undeclared New Englander John Kerry to Group D. This makes Group F interesting geographically, and Group D the group with … no declared candidates? Hmm. I may need to look at all these groups, depending on how many candidates have declared. It would be weird having two (or perhaps three) candidates advance from a group who are not declared or have dropped out.
Anyway, remember to vote, and feel free to tell your friends about this. :)
