The Mueller report really isn’t going to change anything.
I can’t see how impeachment makes sense and apparently Dem leaders don’t think it makes sense. In a year there will be an election. So the voters get to decide anyways. This is about how much time an impeachment proceeding would take. And do we want to spend the next year talking about healthcare or talking about impeachment? No, we can’t do both.
Hmm talk about impeachment (which will never pass the Senate) or pass bills on healthcare and the environment (which will never pass the Senate either). I think I’ll take healthcare.
In 2020 when there is an election, Trump will insist that the Mueller report vindicates him. And viewers of Fox News will agree with him. So in that sense, the Mueller report will have no impact. Supporters of Trump will believe that it is a nothing, and supporters of Dems will believe that it indicates corrupt behavior.
So no impeachment, and it won’t have an impact in 2020 either.
I don’t mean that its a bad report, and I actually like Mueller. I just think that it wont have a substantial impact.
