Received this e-mail today from former Mayor of Columbus, GA, Teresa Tomlinson’s (D. GA) U.S. Senate campaign:
Earlier today, Stacey Abrams announced that while she had been considering a Senate run for 2020, she has instead decided to focus on her voting rights project for the time being.
I join Georgians across the state in wishing Stacey well. For years, Stacey and I have been in the Georgia Democratic trenches together, and I am as determined as ever to continue our strong and united effort to keep registering new voters, battling voter suppression, and working hard to make sure government is responsive to all Georgians.
I intend to formally announce my own decision about the U.S. Senate tomorrow, but this isn’t just about my decision. That’s where you come in. If we’re going to flip this seat blue next fall, we need to start our campaign off as strongly as possible.
We have an ambitious goal of reaching 500 grassroots Founding Donors just like you within the next 24 hours. Will you stand with me and chip in now?
This moment is critical to showing that we have what it takes to win Georgia’s Senate seat. I hope I can count on your help.
To win, we need to be all in.
Are you with me?
Thanks,
Teresa
