Deutsche Bank Ignored Suspicious Activity From Trump and Kushner
[...]
Former Deutsche Bank employees were recently quoted discussing multiple incidents in 2016 and 2017 where bank management rejected anti-money laundering advice involving accounts controlled by Trump and Kushner. [...]
“Deutsche Bank’s careless attitude towards banking compliance laws and failure to police its accounts may now be impacting American government at the highest levels,” said CREW Executive Director Noah Bookbinder. “Questions about transactions between President Trump and foreign actors whose conduct seemingly warranted suspicious activity reports, potentially facilitated by Deutsche Bank, harms the public legitimacy of the institution of the presidency itself.”
Deutsche Bank’s possible violations of the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations included executives routinely rejecting critical anti-money laundering reports in apparent efforts to protect relationships with lucrative clients. In multiple instances, now-President Trump, as well as his companies and now-defunct foundation, conducted transactions that the bank’s anti-money laundering experts flagged as requiring suspicious activity reports. However, Deutsche Bank’s managers specifically refused to file the reports, and did not take the compliance advice seriously, leading employees to be under “the impression that the bank did not want to upset important clients.”
“Anti-money laundering laws provide critical protection against organized crime, terrorism and the corruption of our political institutions,” Bookbinder said. “It is vital that the FRB [Federal Reserve Board of Governors] investigate whether Deutsche Bank is complying with their obligations under federal law and that they make their findings available to the American public.”

Deutsche Bank Should Be Investigated On Jared Kushner And Donald Trump 'Questions of Impropriety': Watchdog
A watchdog group demanded on Wednesday that the Federal Reserve System (FRS) investigate whether Deutsche Bank has been complying to anti-money laundering laws in light of "questions of impropriety" on behalf of clients President Donald Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
[...]
CREW executive director Noah Bookbinder said in a statement said that "questions about transactions between President Trump and foreign actors whose conduct seemingly warranted suspicious activity reports, potentially facilitated by Deutsche Bank, harms the public legitimacy of the institution of the presidency itself."
The letter demands that the FRS "make the results of the investigation available to the public in order to dispel any questions of impropriety on behalf of President Trump."
A spokesperson for Kushner's family-owned real estate business, Kushner Companies, in a statement to Newsweek on Wednesday evening said: "Any allegations regarding Deutsche Bank's relationship with Kushner Companies which involved money laundering is completely made up and totally false. The New York Times continues to create dots that just don't connect."

Unsurprisingly, yet another Federal Judge decides that Lawbreakers can’t sue their way out of Investigations against them … Funny that, who knew?
Federal Judge Dismisses Trump's Effort to Stop Deutsche Bank Handing Investigators Family Financial Records
A federal judge on Wednesday rejected an effort by President Donald Trump to stop Deutsche Bank and another major banking institution from turning his family financial records over to investigators.
The New York judge ruled that Deutsche Bank and Capital One could provide Trump's financial documents to Democratic lawmakers.
Federal Judge Edgardo Ramos refused to issue a preliminary injunction that Trump's attorneys had requested to stop Deutsche Bank from complying with a subpoena from Congress. The ruling signaled a major loss for Trump and his businesses and a big victory for Democrats.

Ramos's ruling follows a hearing in which attorneys for the president, his three eldest children Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, and their family business, the Trump Organization, argued that the subpoenas be voided.

Chalk one up for the Good Guys. You know hard-working Americans, who don’t launder Russian Oligarch Money, in order to look and act important. One more Judge standing up for Law-abiding citizens who play by rules, despite all the Trumps of world, who play by a entirely different set rules, designed only for scammers like them:
—
Trump Rule Number 1: The Rules don’t apply to us.
Trump Rule Number 2: The Laws don’t apply to us either.
Trump Rule Number 3: Abuse the Legal system for as long as possible, while carrying out Trump Rules 1 and 2.
I can’t wait until the hammer comes down on all these subpoena-law-breakers … these Constitution-shredders. … These money-grubbing spoiled rich-kid brats!
America’s Laws weren’t just magically made ‘null and void’ — simply because Trumpworld thinks (and pretends) The Donald is above them all.
Not on our watch.
