In WAYR?, I note what I’m reading and comment...you note what you are reading and comment. Occasionally, I may add a section or a link related to books…mostly focused on the Ellison and reading and watching stuff about impeachment this week.
Permanent Reading List:
The Valley of Fear by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
The Cross of Redemption: Uncollected Writings by James Baldwin w/ introduction by Randall Kenan
I am reading:
The Grass is Singing by Doris Lessing
The Selected Letters of Ralph Ellison by Ralph Ellison (edited by John F. Callahan and Marc C. Connor)— Because I will be reviewing this soon...and because it is quite long, this is getting my primary focus right now. What I will say: Ellison’s genuis (if that’s wha you want to call it) was there from the get go and it comes out of everything that he ever wrote.
George Orwell: Diaries by George Orwell (edited by Peter Davison with an introduction by Christopher Hitchens)—
