I think this latest episode of Trump-cluelessness unplugged … is about to become “a thing” ...
[...]
"You know testing is a double-edged sword," Trump said while complaining about press coverage of his handling of the virus. Claiming the US has now tested some 25 million people, he added: "Here's the bad part ... when you do testing to that extent, you're going to find more people; you're going to find more cases. So I said to my people, slow the testing down please."
It was a stunning revelation given that nearly 120,000 people have died in the United States from the coronavirus and medical experts have long said that testing is critical to identifying cases, tracing them and stopping the spread of the virus.
[...]
But acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf said the President's comments reflected his "frustration" with the relentless focus on the increasing Covid-19 case count in America.
Speaker Pelosi and other House Dems rightfully, did not see the “humor” in Trump horrific Tulsa comments:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) condemned President Trump’s remarks at his campaign rally in Tulsa Saturday night in which he said he told officials to administer fewer coronavirus tests to keep case numbers down. Pelosi suggested that any effort to restrict testing will mean “more Americans will lose their lives.”
“The President is ethically unfit and intellectually unprepared to lead,” she said in a statement.
It looks like the Biden campaign is going to use Trump’s appalling dismissal of Cornoravirus Testing, as a stark point of contrast, between the out-going clown in the White House, vs. the Leader who would replace him. As well they should:
[...]
Kate Bedingfield, Biden's deputy campaign manager, said in a statement that Trump's remarks were "outrageous" and that they would be remembered "long after tonight's debacle of a rally."
"Trump just admitted that he’s putting politics ahead of the safety and economic well-being of the American people — even as we just recorded the highest number of new COVID-19 cases in almost two months and 20 million workers remain out of work," she said.
"This virus has killed nearly 120,000 Americans and cost tens of millions their jobs, in large part because this president could not and would not mobilize testing as quickly as we needed it. To hear him say tonight that he has ordered testing slowed — a transparent attempt to make the numbers look better — is appalling," she added.
Trump's remarks appeared to be made in jest. But he has previously expressed skepticism about the important of widespread testing, saying in May that it appeared to be "overrated."

It was not even a week ago, when Jester Donald said this to a group of seniors — with all apparent seriousness at the time:
… Trump said Monday that there would be very few cases of the coronavirus if the US stopped its testing and contact tracing.
"If we stop testing right now, we'd have very few cases, actually," the president said during a roundtable event for seniors.

I would assume the seniors, Trump just kicked to the Corona-curb, do not see the “humor” in Trump’s executive “slow-down orders” either.
None of us should. 120,000 deaths and counting. And all the ‘court jester’ in the White House can do about it — is to try to hide the evidence of his complete incompetence; his total lack of empathy …
his “ethical unfitness to lead,” as Speaker Pelosi put it.

If this latest episode in Trump-splaining-theatrics doesn’t turn the tide against him — then nothing will.
Enough is enough, of this lying heartless conman.
