We are about 90 minutes into the New Jersey primary, and we’ve already got one key race for the November general election all set. In the past few minutes, the Associated Press called the NJ-02 Republican primary for incumbent Rep. Jeff Van Drew, and the Democratic primary for mental health advocate Amy Kennedy.
As for the rest of the races, a reminder: ballots will be counted as long as they were postmarked by this evening, so ultimately a few of the outstanding races may not get called tonight.
