The by far worst thing about MLK Day: People who work 364 days a year against his ideals quoting Martin Luther King. Normally it’s hard to determine who of them is the worst hypocrite, but this year there is no question about it — this title belongs to Georgia Senator Kelly Loeffler. Fortunately, her pathetic attempt to appropriate MLK for her political ambitions has received quite a pushback online. Her twitter post is getting ratio’d quite impressively. As of this writing, it has 170 likes and 24 retweets — but more than 1,200 comments and more than 350 scating quote twees. I want to share a few of them with you. Keep in mind: We have defeated her on January 5, she only has a couple days left as US Senator and she will replaced by Raphael Warnock, who is the successor of Martin Luther King as pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Do you know who did not post an eye catching MLK meme on social media? Senator-elect Raphael Warnock. He doesn’t have to, because he honors the legacy of Martin Luther King 365 days a year. And he is committed to continue the work:
We have celebrated victories in Georgia in 2020 and 2021. But 2022 is already approaching fast. Our own Kossack harrisco99 is on the ground in Georgia and has started a new fundraiser to keep Georgia blue in 2022. If you can, please chip in a few bucks via ActBlue.
