Welcome to the October 1st edition of Street Prophets Coffee Hour, where politics meets up with religion, art, nature, and life. Come in and sit, have a cuppa and a cookie or three, and join us.
It’s fall again, already. Migrating birds are visiting my pond, so geese aren’t the only ones thinking that winter is coming. Like many places, we haven’t been getting the cooler temperatures that are supposed to come with fall. I turned my air conditioning off this week, and I’m hoping I won’t have to turn it on again this year, but we have temperatures forecast to be in the upper 80s next week. The overnight lows should keep the house from getting that warm, and it’s very pleasant outside.
It’s still good weather, in most of the country, to be out and about today. My daughter and her family are waiting for a band to get started so they’re walking around and taking pictures. Here they are, almost in real time.
The Dallas Arboretum today:
My daughter texted: “It’s wheelchair friendly. You should come next time.”
(I asked for a few pictures. Three photographers responded: daughter (zygia), grandson (Aashir), and grandniece (Saher). I guess be careful what you ask for!)
