I think Guy Reffitt’s conviction earlier this month has started to have an affect on some of the other Jan 6th insurrectionists. Jacob Fracker of VA has decided to take a plea deal just before his trial was to begin on April 5th. What makes Fracker oh so special is that he was a Rocky Mount police officer and a member of the National Guard when he and a colleague by the name of Thomas Robertson decided to be a part of the Jan 6th insurrection.
From the DOJ:
According to information the FBI has reviewed, after 2:00 p.m., but before the joint session of Congress resumed at 8:00 p.m., the defendants Thomas Robertson and Jacob Fracker were photographed in the Capitol Building making an obscene statement in front of a statute of JohnStark (Exhibit A).
At the time they were photographed, the defendants were off-duty from their positions as police officers with the Rocky Mountain Police Department in Rocky Mount, Virginia. In social media posts, Defendant Robertson is quoted as saying, “CNN and the Left are just mad because we actually attacked the government who is the problem and not some random small business ... The right IN ONE DAY took the f***** U.S. Capitol. Keep poking us.” He also stated that he was “proud” of the photo in an Instagram Post that was shared to Facebook, because hewas “willing to put skin in the game” (Exhibit B).
A now-deleted Facebook post by Defendant Fracker containing the caption, “Lol to anyone who’s possibly concerned about the picture of me going around... Sorry I hate freedom?…Not like I did anything illegal…y’all do what you feel you need to…” (Exhibit C).
Emphasis is mine.
So both those bastards were arrested on Jan 13th, 2021:
Two Off-Duty Virginia Police Officers Charged in Federal Court Following Events at the U.S. Capitol
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two off-duty Rocky Mount, Virginia police officers were charged yesterday in federal court in the District of Columbia in connection with the riots at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021.
Jacob Fracker and Thomas Robertson were charged by complaint with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. Both defendants were arrested on January 13, 2021, in Virginia.
Seems that the Rocky Mount Police Department was not thrilled with Fracker’s actions.
Virginia National Guard corporal fired from police department after Capitol riot
Jacob Fracker was one of two off-duty Rocky Mount police officers who participated in the Capitol siege, authorities said.
Authorities fired two police officers, one of whom is a corporal in the Virginia National Guard, on Tuesday after they were arrested and charged earlier this month in connection to the Jan. 6 deadly Capitol riot.
In a statement on Tuesday, town manager James Ervin confirmed that the Rocky Mount Police Department fired Jacob Fracker and Thomas Robertson after the town completed their review of the case.
“We hear those who have communicated their anger and frustration about the actions of these individuals or our response to those actions,” Ervin said in a statement. “We have treated the process of review seriously from the beginning and thank those who contributed and in coordinating a response in a quick, objective and lawful manner.”
Both morons were fired on Jan 26, 2021.
So both were hanging tough and going to trial. But something must have sunk into Fracker’s thick skull because he cut a plea deal with the prosecution before his April 5th trial.
Jacob Fracker, a Donald Trump supporter and former member of the Rocky Mount Police Department in Virginia, admitted on Friday that he participated in a conspiracy to “corruptly obstruct, influence, and impede an official proceeding” when he entered the U.S. Capitol as Congress was certifying the electoral college vote. As part of a plea deal, Fracker will cooperate with the government…
Fracker admitted that he and his former co-worker (and current co-defendant) Thomas Robertson entered into a conspiracy to obstruct the congressional proceeding by bringing tactical gear, including gas masks, to D.C. and forcibly storming past police to gain access to the Capitol.
Fracker also admitted in writing that he “made social media posts that supported and encouraged the mob’s actions at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.”...
Fracker pleaded guilty to a one-count criminal information that was filed ahead of his virtual court appearance. He had been facing four counts: obstruction of an official proceeding, entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building, and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building. Last month, Judge Christopher R. Cooper denied a motion to dismiss the obstruction charge
Fracker has also agreed to testify against Robertson in his trial.
