Kool-Aid

While I love the "Kool-Aid" image, I'm not sure if the reference is to "electric" KA, as in the "Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test", or, as I belatedly realized, are we referring to the KA that the Jonestown unfortunates shared?
Being older, for me, KA will always be associated with the electric variety; a positive experience where many got to glimpse, if not actually go through, the Doors of Perception.  

How do you see Kool-Aid?
