The very encouraging news from the latest national polls confirms my view, and the view of many I'm sure, that BushCo is ripe for the taking.
The first part of the 2 part Presidential Election test, do we want to fire the Incumbent -answer is Yes.
Now part 2 - Can we replace theIncumbent with the Challenger - the question is still open in my view.
As everyone knows, I think the ONLY question in swing voters' minds is - can Kerry keep us safe? Can he be a bona fide Commander-In-Chief?
Which brings me to the September GOP Convention -which will be all WoT/national security, "strong leadership" all the time. And why Kerry doesn't measure up.
In my view, Kerry must keep in mind that come September, he will face that. I am a strong proponent for shaping Kerry's image NOW and it's good to see, as reflected in the LAT poll, that the War Hero image is really helping here. I think he should reinforce this with his VP pick -Wes Clark is my choice.
Markos seems to lean towards Edwards - but Edwards doesn't address the central question for Kerry as Challenger - does he hurt? Maybe a little. But we need all the help we can get.
