Cover Your Bases. . .

From a Dean For America fundraising letter, dated early August:

". . .I will not spend twenty million dollars (as a start) to secure the Democratic nomination, I will try to raise the money I need to meet the voters in key states. . .Sincerely, Howard Dean"

The ellipses are mine, but the reality is clear.  It's just politics, and kudos to Gov. Dean for keeping his options open.  That's just smart.

But I won't get all misty-eyed when I cast my ballot tomorrow (I'm voting "Yes", by the way).
