Over the last month there seems to be some changes at CNN - and, the changes seem to be for the better. I'm holding my breath on this, but, early signs are encouraging -
(Details below the fold)
1 - The new head of CNN - US cancels Crossfire, stating his agreement with Jon Stewart
2 - Tucker Carlson is not given a platform for his BS
3 - When covering Bush's speech about the need for tort reform, CNN runs a trailer contradicting what Bush is saying
4 - Last night, on 360, Anderson Cooper made a statement about Scott McLellan's press briefing. The press briefing lasted 40 minutes. Anderson condensed it into three minutes by pointing out the repetitive talking points Scott kept saying. And, there was a clear message that Scott McLellan did nothing but parrot Bush's talking points. (I know that's not news to readers of Daily Kos - but, to see a CNN anchor comment on this is amazing!)
5 - On CNN this morning, Jack (what's his name) was ranting about how the Indonesian government wants the US out by March, and how awful that is. The US is there to give aid. After his rant, the female personality tried to counter what he said - she stated, based on her trip to the area, she felt the people in SE Asia welcomed the US, and it was the government of Indonesia that wants the US out. I was amazed there was any comment to counter Jack's rant.
Given all this, am I living in fantasyland that CNN is changing its tone?
