I know what Edwards' message is: There are 2 Americas and the common folk in 2nd America are getting a bad deal. I can fix that.
I know what Dean's message is: The war on Iraq was stupid. Also, it's time to do things a new way in Washington. I'll do that.
I think Clark's message is: I can run a smarter War On Terror than Bush. Also, I'm generally a smart guy.
What's Kerry's message?
I'm not asking for jokes here -- just honest views about what Kerry's central theme is. I ask because I can't figure out what it is. I like Edwards because I agree with his message, and because I think it (as much as superficial characteristics like handsomeness and being a poor boy from the South) is the key to his electability.
