The Republican National Committee isn't just throwing a tantrum, they're taking action:
The Republican National Committee, furious with ABC News for granting the Obama administration an airtime to discuss health care, is planning to use its in-house TV studio to air a counter-attack starring GOP members of Congress, according to an internal RNC memo I’ve obtained.
Now there's some "must see TV."
The memo explains the situation:
This means that President Obama and the Democrats will have an entire day to push their government-run health care agenda without hearing Republicans’ policy ideas and principles on health care reform.
It's nice to see that Frank Luntz's Republican talking points on how to kill meaningful health care legislation made it into the memo, with the scary words "government-run" agenda versus GOP principles of reform.
And it's hilarious to see the GOP whining about "a glorified infomercial to promote the Democrat agenda," because ABC News is hosting a town hall forum with the President. This from the party with its own permanent, seven-days-a-week media arm disguised as a fair and balanced news outlet.
