Colorado House Minority Leader Gives Up Leadership Post

Republican Joe Stengel, Colorado's state house minority leader, has resigned his leadership post in a controversy over the fact that he took legislative per diems during the off season, even while he was on vacation in Hawaii.

The papers have been noting the record high number of days of out of session compensation he had taken for a couple of weeks, in large part due to the efforts of blogger Colorado Lib.
