Dear Mr. President,
I'd like to share with you some inspiring words from a speech made in January of 2008 by a candidate for President of the United States of America. I hope you find them to be as uplifting and poignant as I did then, and many still do.
You see Mr. President, you inspired so many of us who took your words to heart, yes we did. We've been hard at work writing the greatest chapter in American History, but the time has come that we need you to listen to the Vox Populi as it demands change.
We need you.
We need you to stand with us.
We need you to work with us.
Dear Barack Obama,
Yes, We DID!
Now its your turn!
We've been warned against offering the people of this Nation false hope, but in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false, about hope.
A house divided cannot stand. That we are more than a collection of Red States and Blue States.
We are and always will be the United States of America.
At this moment you are standing up all across this country to say, not this time.
Not this year.
This time must be different.
This time we have to turn the page.
This time we have to write a new Chapter in American History.
We are not as divided as our politics suggest.
That we are one people, we are one Nation.
And together we will begin the next great chapter in the American story with three words.
Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time.
We are the ones we have been waiting for.
We are the change that we seek.
But I'm here to say tonight, to all of you that still harbor those doubts.
We need you.
We need you to stand with us.
We need you to work with us.
We need you to help us prove that together ordinary people can still do extraordinary things in the united states off america.
This time can be different, because this campaign for the Presidency, of the United States of America, is different.
Change is Coming to America
