Mr. President,
I previously called on you to speak out on the violence OWS are receiving at the hands of authorities. Now I'm demanding it.
Back in 2008, I was one of the many that supported you. I was one of many that traveled to other states to go door to door asking for your support. Believe you me, not everyone was friendly and the weather wasn't always great. Yet I did it anyway because I believed in you. I also was one of the many that donated to you. And this was at a time in my life when I had less money than I do now which is saying something.
But not this time. Not unless you are willing to stand up for your own citizens like you do for Egyptians. This is a non-negotiable demand. If you do not meet it, not only will you not get my vote, but I will actively work against you.
You absolutely should take this as a threat to your political future. Trust me, I'm not alone in this sentiment. You are at grave risk of losing many of your biggest supporters and it isn't just this issue, but this is the last straw for me.
It's time for you to put up or shut up when it comes to criticism for brutality against protesters around the world. Stand up for your own people or stop pretending you care about other people.
Sincerely,
Aaron Kincer
