Hey.
It's me. Beneldon, user number 88887 — yes! That Beneldon, I'm asking my Daily Kos people what you think of this election, eh? Amirit? This is what we get? What the hell, America!?
No. Really. This election is the weirdest and wiredest event I've witnessed in my 50 plus years. I got out of serious trouble as a child because my parents were distracted by Richard Nixon resigning the office of president effective noon tomorrow and now this year has become that like seminal event for some young lad or lass of ten not getting grounded because Trump said he tried to “f@ck” a married woman because, well, he can.
"I don't even wait."
Seriously, this is mind boggling how many people think this is news with this guy!
Honestly, I don't give a damn about how little respect this orange clown has for women and minorities or the non-successful; that’s just who the man is-- it’s not what he says, it’s who the man is that says it.
No, I fault, and by that I mean hold accountable, the Republican party for bowing to this Cro-Magnon for the sake of stopping a woman from being president. You knew who this man was and you still put him up for selection, you supported him after every other October-like surprise came up previous to this one and NOW you want to drop him?
This is all you, RNC, Republican party, and rank n file registrants. You own Trump because you don't know what to do in this day and age. You put up a stereotype from the 70s Male Chauvinist Pig inside an 80s Reaganaut and expected he'd fit right in with 2016 America. You're a bunch of clueless cowards and I'm sorry you have so little new in your ideas that you want to retreat to that Simpler Time when stereotypes were, as Susan Dominus writes in the New York Times, "the musty sleaziness that went out of style in the 1970s; the old bosses who want their secretaries pretty; the cigar-chomping power brokers who think sexual harassment is the woman’s problem; the drooling dimwits who have gotten further than they should have on connections and male privilege." In other words: nicely white and WASPy, the wheels have needed to fly off that bus a long time ago. I'm not interested in the fact that Mrs. Clinton would be the first woman president as much as I'm interested in the person who has worked hard all her life to make things better and easier for a great many people who have not had a voice in the way their lives have been directed.
I mean, sure! It's really easy to simply accept the bile that flows so steadily from conventional as well as internet sourced "news" websites and believe that this "woman" is some kind of ball busting monster but why do you run as her Republican opponent the very worst possible aspects of the American electorate against her? And don't you find it maddening that for the last eight years you have claimed that Obama is a megalomaniacal narcissist (and a clueless Affirmative Action hire in way over his head, but that's another thing entirely!) and so in response you put up an actual megalomaniacal narcissist to replace him? What's wrong with the old model? Perhaps the color? I'm just asking a question.
"It's not what he says, it's who he is that says it."
"I don't even wait!"
Trump says so damn locker roomy casually, he doesn't even wait. He takes what he wants. He can because he is a star and stars are like gods, just ask the Trumpettes.

They're fine with it. they are in wondrous Revelation 13:4 awe of the man who will make Merica great agin!
And you? Do you find that he is like those gods of old? Like Solomon and all those concubines? And hey! Doesn't every great man have his share of Bathsheba's? I just don't understand how you think that supporting this man is still a good idea for the country your children and grandchildren will inherit? I don't understand how a woman who has been investigated ad nauseam and nothing Republican controlled hearings have found has been legally actionable and yet this woman who has been vilified for decades by the very same good old boy network that still makes women like Arianne Zucker the butt of a private winky little joke ("How about a little hug for the Donald?") is still standing and taking on all comers! This woman, the Democratic nominee is freakin amazing!
There is a whole industry based on tearing this person down. They "report" any such thought that might occur as a fact and place that thought - as a fact - in the minds of the, "one click and done" internet news surfers, and still, this woman keeps going! She just doesn't quit! Just as she just doesn't quit on her husband - you know, like every Tammy Wynette fan will attest - you stand by your man! Incidentally, "Bill Clinton was found not guilty of lying to a Grand Jury about his relationship with Ms. Lewinsky. Unlike Cosby and beyond fervently believed hearsay, Mr. Clinton has not been charged with anything else in courts of jurisdiction. Neither has Mr. Trump. Based on the persona of the two men in public life, both men seem to be aging lotharios but one seems more of a folksy charmer and the other, an entitled ass.
"I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything,”
Melania certainly isn't saying anything about her husband that I have heard. But I assume she is standing by her man for better or for worse just like Hillary Clinton did and continues to do. Something no self respecting defender of the sanctity of marriage could possibly argue against. But I digress…
I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the concept of a vote for Trump is not a vote to be ruled like a king rather than to be lead by a leader like Mrs. Clinton. I mean, really! The guy went on a Twitter rant in the wee hours over a beauty queen! I can only imagine his reaction to some perceived slight by our allies, or even worse, our adversaries. But then again, we know Trump would blow the boats out of the water if they were making mean gestures at us so it's not that entirely off the radar that if you cross him he will "blow you out of" the proverbial water since he would have that strong central power of the executive branch of the government at his fingertips if he becomes the 45th president of the country. He does have that kind of temperament: "when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything."
Apparently, that's really true. People see the star that is Mr. Trump because he is wealthy (and you need wealth to be great - just ask that Nazarene nailed to a tree)* and they bath in that light and give him articles for his name so others will know he is THE Donald. People often follow those bright lights who they want so desperately need to believe will illuminate the way; only sometimes, those lights are really the flames and you discover you have been hitching your desires and hopes and your future to the wings of a moth.
Enjoy the ride.
