What kind of candidate ,with little name recognition, can draw over 20,000 people to a speech in a city across the country?
What kind of candidate can quell a determined protest movement ( BLM ) with just a few well chosen words?
Last night, Bernie Sanders turned away crowds of people at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon where he gave a rousing speech to an overflow audience.
In his remarks, he inextricably tied together income inequality, the lack of educational opportunities, and the incarceration and deaths of African-American peoples across the nation. there was no interruption as at previous events by the 'Black Lives Matter" protest movement.
He then touched on gender pay inequality, challenging men themselves to stand up for their female co-workers in the workplace.
The Sanders campaign moves to Los Angeles today.
