I would be a terrible politician. Put me in a room with someone I mostly agree with and I will quickly find where we disagree and argue about that. So this is probably a terrible idea I have, but here it is: hunting is not a constitutionally protected right. We should make hunting illegal absent gun control legislation.
There is no constitutionally protected right to hunt. There is a constitutionally protected right to bear arms. We should tactically ban the formerly, essentially holding it hostage, until some concessions are made on the latter.
As is I think this is a terrible idea, but I have this nagging feeling that there's something maybe here.
