Rand Am Life Poll is Stable

The Rand poll is one of the best.  Read their methodology.  Obama 49.18 versus Romney at 44.75 showing that most minds were fully committed to their candidate prior to Wednesday's debate.  Obama needs to continue to be Presidential and he needs to portray Romney as willing to say anything to get elected.

Romney, Blind Trust, Avoid Taxes

Short diary, I don't know how to link.  Romney has decided to use a Federal Blind Trust if elected.  Typically, this is a yawn ... a no big deal story.  However, just like Dick Cheney, Romney will avoid paying massive capital gains taxes by using a Federal Blind Trust

Tom Vilsack in context

David Broder in today's Washington Post writes about Tom Vilsack as I know him.  He shows him as a dedicated public servant that has worked hard to alleviate poverty and get rid of the stigma of discrimination that existed in the Agricultural Dept.

President Obama celebrates the ADA

The President today celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  He fulfilled a campaign pledge to expand the number of people with disabilities working for the Federal government.

Of particular interest to me were the new regs that were released today and specifically that the Segway is now covered by the ADA when used by someone with a mobility disability.  I am a founder of Segs4Vets an organization that has donated almost 500 Segways to veterans injured in Iraq and Afghanistan, many of whom have lost a leg in service to our country.
