What happened to the nice Christian friends and neighbors that used to display proudly “WWJD?” on wristbands, ID lanyards, belt buckles, bumper stickers and any number of other such common items? What happened to those that seriously considered what Jesus of Nazareth would have done before taking action in their daily lives? Are, they still out there? Are their voices being drowned out by another group or ideology? The loudest Christian voices seem to now come from way out right somewhere, not a place that I would think Jesus of Nazareth would find comfortable. Many Christians seem be puzzled that a religion like Islam could be contorted and hijacked to a message of hate. Why don’t they look within and see that the same is happening to their own faith on some level? I am really hoping the “WWJD?” Christians are still out there and make a return soon. They were really very nice people it seemed to me, I would love to have them as friends and neighbors. They would be compassionate for the homeless and hungry. They would support those displaced by war. They would support health care for all. No necessary and basic need would go unfulfilled because it is clearly what Jesus would do.
