I usually listen to the unemployment numbers on Bloomberg radio when they come in at 8:30. So imagine my surprise when I heard the numbers. I was partly surprised because I thought to myself "where are all those seasonal workers that stores are hiring." "How is it even remotely possible that retail jobs could decrease when stores are hiring hundreds of thousands of workers for the holidays?" According to USA Today, stores are hiring between 500,000-600,000 workers.
Long story short, the Wall Street journal agrees with me and they speculate as some others on dkos have, that this month's jobs numbers will be revised.
