I'm reposting the photos I posted yesterday of the smoke plumes from the fire because not that many people got to see it and because I have some new evening photos.
These are taken from Mulholland Drive, the most beautiful road in Los Angeles, which looks out over both the Los Angeles Basin and the San Fernando Valley.
I was going to go out again this morning to take more, but considering the poor visibility last night, I doubt I would see much. For the first time, the dark clouds have reached North Hollywood. Yesterday, if you weren't up high, you couldn't tell there was a fire from here.
Today, I've taken my dogs on two short walks. I can't handle longer ones. My eyes immediately start watering, my head aches, my throat hurts and I am totally winded by the time I get around the single block I'm able to manage without passing out. On top of that, my eyes are still hurting and watery and I've been inside for ten minutes. It's just awful out there... and I'm miles from the fire.
