(Please excuse this re-post from yesterday; the site went down almost as soon as I hit publish!)
Three days is all the time we have left between now and the election, three more days to GO every last V we can. In every state. In every race.
If you live in a swing state, please canvass.
If you live near a swing state, please canvass.
If you do not live in or near a swing state, please phonebank.
Also, too, please help canvass for downticket races and local offices/issues for whatever state you call home. The importance of local politics cannot be overstated.
If you are not able to canvass or phone bank, there is still heaps you can do, like dropping healthy, yummy snacks by campaign offices. You can also bring snacks and such to people stuck in the ridiculously long voting booth lines. Water, too. Depending on the weather, holding a big ol' umbrella for folks to share could win you some friends. Got any camping chairs? Fewer achy feet means more votes!
Perhaps most importantly, please call your local Dem headquarters and/or OFA office and find out if they are coordinating any efforts to drive elderly, more rural, and vehicle-challenged voters to the polls. Support such efforts in any way you can, please. You can donate gas station gift cards, I'm sure, and maybe even the donation of a rental van. We'd have to check on that.
Okay, that last one wasn't the most important. This one is: if you can vote early, please do vote early. Not only do you get to enjoy shorter lines and a smoother voting experience, you will also be giving other voters a shorter line on November 6th. Plus, it frees you up for all the wonderful GOTV fun to be had!
So, please, pick a state, pick a race, pick something! Do what you do to get your mojo on and let's do this!
