Time is running out.
The single pre-war administration statement that was most clearly dishonest (in my opinion) has been largely overlooked. Only a year and a half remains in this presidency, and I'm worried that the clock is going to run out without the White House being confronted about this statement. They should have been confronted long ago, but somehow it's mostly escaped mainstream media attention. George Tenet's new book, At the Center of the Storm, has a revelation that provides one of the last chances to call attention to this falsehood.
Lost amidst all that's been said about the case for the existence of WMDs is a serious examination of how the administration characterized the intelligence regarding Saddam's inclination to use against us whatever WMDs he (hypothetically and counterfactually) might have had.
