I have tried for over a year to understand why my older brother and millions of other Americans do not support Barack Obama for president.
My brother is a former chopper pilot who served in Viet Nam. Although he is smart, he simply would not give Obama a thorough look. He is probably a good example of many other voters who saw lack of experience in foreign policy as a real problem. While phone banking for the Obama campaign I have spoken to others that have raised this issue. I saw Senator Obama as a thoughtful and pragmatic man, and this was never an issue with me, especially after his VP selection.
