The Norwegian general election of 2007 is on 10 September. This time it is local and regional elections. In Norway it is a multi party system, but over the last two elections the 7 main parties has segmented into two political blocs. The right wing and the left wing.
The two largest cities, Oslo and Bergen are ruled by right wing coalitions, but several other important cities, such as Trondheim, Tromsø and Bodø is ruled by left wing coalitions.
The parliamentary election in 2005 was a huge victory for the left wing Red-Green (red is left in Norway) alliance. This year is going to be close in Oslo (in 2003 the right wing won in Oslo by 200 votes) and Bergen, but the Red-Green majorities in Tromsø, Trondheim and Bodø are cruising for re-election.
