I found this exercise very enlightening. I hope you'll participate in my cyber version.
It was part of an in-service day program for educators.
The Challenge--The presenter gave each of us five post-it notes and asked us to write down the five rights provided for in the 1st amendment.
Before you read any further, see how many you can come up with. Write them down in the order you recall them.
Not to worry, if you can't get them all, the answers follow--no need to Google.
Next, we were asked to give up one of these rights, and pass it to the front. That's where the poll comes in.
After all the votes were in, the presenter asked if anyone wanted to share the reason they choose to give up the right they did. This is where it got interesting. The discussion that followed stimulated some great comments and discussion. That's where your comment comes in.
I would be very interested to know which right you choose to give up and your reason(s) why--should you care to share. I am also interested in the order in which you recalled the rights and if you could remember them all.
