Another 70 daily newspapers have endorsed the Obama-Biden ticket in the past three days. It is debatable how much that may influence opinions, but it is probably more significant than 70 celebrity endorsements (except those named Colin Powell). According to Editor & Publisher, Obama now has a 112 to 39 lead over McCain in daily newspaper endorsements.
Some of those newspapers include the Detroit Free Press, Buffalo News, Cleveland's Plain Dealer, Palm Beach (Fla.) Post, New York's Daily News, Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer, Orlando Sentinel, Denver Post, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Salt Lake Tribune, Kansas City Star, and Chicago Sun-Times.
Editor & Publisher says that the total circulation for newspapers endorsing candidates breaks down to Obama with 13.4 million to McCain's 3.7 million, about a 4: 1 margin.
